She’s got a pink Mohawk, and she’s in the business of ice cream. Jessica Randall, the “pink mama” of Pink Mama’s Ice Cream, recently rolled out a few new additions to the shop in Travelers Rest.
The Main Street ice cream shop in Travelers Rest, formerly the Cool Mama’s food truck, officially opened a location in March of last year. The shop is known for handmade ice cream and waffle cones, the retired Red Cross emergency units turned ice cream response units and Randall’s pink hair, which served as inspiration for the opening of the shop and is now the business logo.
But the innovative ice cream shop has added yet another form of ice cream delivery service: a tricycle. The trike will serve as an addition to their mobile business component and deliver products throughout Main Street in Travelers Rest. Randall said it’s a good opportunity to reach those who aren’t able to come out for lunch and get to them quickly. Individuals can call or text in their orders and receive their sweet treats via trike throughout the week from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
“It’s a unique opportunity for us to expand our brand and our reach,” Randall said.
Along with the trike service, Pink Mama’s will now serve their most popular flavors — lavender white chocolate and lavender dark chocolate — in 8-ounce cups and pints because of the high demand. Randall said their homemade lavender white chocolate and lavender dark chocolate chip ice creams have been selling out quickly. Custom orders will also be available.
The shop also recently soft-launched their new handmade sorbet line called Pink Mama’s Chill. Randall said the sorbets have a combination of a chill and sorbet texture and flavors will change. Current flavors include lavender lemonade, mojito and pinkberry, among others.
Pink Mama’s offers more than 25 flavors of ice cream, sundaes, milkshakes, ice cream cakes and more. “We just want to have a great time, be a part of the community and have a great time doing it,” Randall said. “It’s about making people feel appreciated.”
